One of the most beautiful spots on the planet! Salt Spring has soothed the souls of many a wanderer.. She rests in a relatively sheltered portion of the Pacific Ocean between the southern end of Vancouver Island and the mainland..

One Of Saltspring's Many Lakes

Salt Spring Island is the perfect place for outdoor enthusiasts. With less rainfall than either Vancouver or Victoria, you can cycle, hike, fish, play golf, sail or ocean kayak most of the year.

Kayaking Around The Island

The many harbours of this island provide protected paddling for the novice or the experienced. Paddle around the many smaller islands of the Ganges harbour or venture further afield to the outlying marine parks for overnight trips.

In the summer months there is a wonderful outdoor market in Ganges on the Saturday and in Fulford on the Saturday and the Sunday. At these markets you can find a real selection of farmer's produce and arts & crafts that are locally produced. Also a trip around the island will bring you to a large number of artist's studios which are open for you to tour and often observe the artist at work.
